You have chosen your venue, picked your date, are in the
processing of sorting out your styling but then comes the next big decision,
the menu.
Whether you are having a small intimate wedding or a large
wedding, you are bound to have guests who you know are going to be picky with
the food, so how do you manage this. The
simple answer is you don’t have to, we will advise and manage it all for you.
Around 90% of our clients opt to have a thai menu. Well you are getting married in Thailand so
why not. The tricky question is how do
you choose dishes to accommodate everyone?
Perhaps you like spicy food or want to be adventurous but deep down you
know your guests may not feel the same.
Its difficult to find that balance.
Pad Thai |
Well you have nothing to worry about, I can assure you. Our menu from our chef team, is widely varied
with options for canapes, salads, BBQ, live cooking stations and with a wide
range of spice. Even the most spicy of
dishes can be made mild and vice versa and we can add the ‘nam jim’ sauces on
the side to allow your guests to choose how hot they would like their
food.
Canape service |
We serve via two options, family style which is traditional
in Thailand, or buffet. The preferred
option is Family style as each course is served individually giving you that al
la carte feel but all on sharing plates which feels like a buffet without
leaving your seat. Each guest can then
choose as much or as little as they like and this also has a secondary bonus to
it. It gives those guests sat with
people they don’t know, an ice breaker as they discuss and try each dish.
What do you do though when you have those guests that really
will not break from western food. That’s
easy, our chef team can also prepare western food for those guests or perhaps
add in a couple of options for each table to satisfy the most difficult of
palates.
Finally what do you do when your guests confirm they are
coming but they are on a gluten free diet, vegan, allergic to peanuts. We have seen so many different dietary
requests, it common for us to manage this at 80% of our weddings. All we ask is let us know in advance. We will add options for these guests and even
prepare food separately for any special requests. We will then brief our F&B team for where
these guests will be seated to ensure these guests receive the correct menu
choices. If you are concerned how this
will affect the canapé pass around service, do not be concerned, we will prepare
special plates for them and just ask you to identify them to us prior to the
start of the day.
If you have little ones and want something a little low key,
we can provide freshly made baby food or a childrens menu to be served with
their parents either at the same time or earlier. If the parents want to have some free time,
we can provide nannies to assist and even organize a fun children’s table to
keep all the children together freeing up the parents to enjoy themselves.
Children's table |
If you want to do something a little different, we can provide all live cooking stations to give that thai market feel and you can walk from station to station watching the food being prepared and cooked to order or even a full BBQ with a whole roasted pig and fresh seafood. The options are endless.
Whole roasted pig |
If the menu feels overwhelming and you are not sure of what
to choose, we can provide sample menus and ideas of what will blend well
together based on your ideas. If there is something you want
and it isn’t on the menu, do not be afraid to ask, we will do everything we can
to accommodate your requirements, even those late night snacks.
